“NetLetter readers may be interested in this video taken December 6th, 2014 at Dorval YUL’s de-ice centre from the de-icer boom cab, by de-ice centre employee Patrick Jette and forwarded by friend and past Air Canada Dorval workmate, Claude De la Sablonnière. There is ice on the aircraft. You’ll note the pause and switch-over to long hold-over type-2 fluid that is coloured greenish-yellow to ensure all the type-1 is covered. It is rare to see a de-icing operation from the boom cab operator’s perspective.”
