Air Canada News:
Latitude Passes get more western destinations. The launch of our Latitude
Pass for the West product last spring has proved so successful we are
expanding the discount commuter air passes to 17 non-stop routes across
western Canada today. Latitude Pass holders across western Canada will now
be able to take advantage of more destinations, greater savings and
flexibility through this multi-trip product. In addition, complimentary
upgrades can now be requested and confirmed online up to one day prior to
departure for all flights between Vancouver-Calgary and Vancouver-Edmonton.

Platinum Jet Air is a business blocked-seat operation between Calgary
and Toronto created by Corpac Canada (Corporate Express). Using two Fokker
100's which have been leased from Aravco in Farnborough, UK and due to
enter service next month. The 56 seat layout includes a mid-cabin bar, and
overhead bins have been removed on one side to increase interior space.
The CEO of Ryanair, the Irish low-fare airline, will have its aircraft
carry additional promotional titles. Michael O'Leary expects these
promotional titles will, in about ten years, allow for passengers to free
travel, the revenue coming from commission paid by hotles, car rentals,
airport shops and aorports.
