. Need to know.
Searching your travel history. With the new travel policy and procedures in
place since Dec.
16, many of you are wondering how to check your travel history to get an
itemized account of your travel charges using the Employee Travel site. Go to
Travel History, scroll to the bottom and change the default from “Billing
Reference” to “Billing Type.” Once that's done, you can search your history.
Currently, there is a system error with the default “Billing Reference” option.
Air Canada anticipate that this will be fixed this week. You will need this
tool, as paystubs will no longer itemize travel taken after Dec. 16.

Problem with U.S. medical coverage rectified. Last week, some of our employees
in the United States reported that their medical insurance claims had been
refused by Great West Life. Unfortunately, as a result of our CCAA filing,
Great West Life put an administrative "hold" on the program, which meant
employees' insurance coverage was suspended. The situation, which we did not
anticipate, has now been rectified with Great West Life, and U.S. employees are
once again fully covered. We sincerely apologize for the disruption this has
caused

. Air Canada news -
Air Canada has completed the
installation of enhanced cockpit doors on all of its over 200 aircraft in
service. With the installation of the new reinforced cockpit doors and
security devices on fin number 467, an Airbus A321 aircraft, at the carrier's
Winnipeg maintenance base recently, Air Canada mechanics have completed the
flight deck security enhancement program in compliance with Transport Canada
and FAA requirements.

Toronto Pearson Airport opens Infield Terminal. On April 6, Toronto Pearson
Airport's new 11-gate Infield Terminal opened. Some of our international
flights are being gated at this new facility, as earlier this month we had lost
some of our gating capacity at Terminal 1 as a result of the construction
requirements of New Terminal One.

Tango by Air Canada is the first air
service in Canada and the only low cost air service in the world to offer
customers greatly enhanced and faster online services including itinerary
changes and cancellations.

*** End of the line for Concorde
The Concorde era of supersonic aviation will be over within
weeks. Embarrassing technical problems and a slump in transatlantic travel
have persuaded British Airways and Air France to retire the iconic plane. The
two airlines are preparing to reveal the date when the aircraft will be
withdrawn from service. Concorde has suffered a series of technical
glitches since the Air France crash in Paris three years ago, which killed
114. The aircraft has also fallen  victim to a slump in business travel
accentuated by the global economic slowdown and the war in Iraq. BA has
seven Concordes in its fleet and Air France five.

Virgin considers Concorde takeover
Virgin Atlantic is investigating the possibility of taking over the
Concorde fleet from British Airways which last week said it would be retiring
the
aircraft. Virgin ceo Richard Branson said his company had been "flooded with
calls
from the public, including BA staff asking us if we can keep the Concorde
flying". "When the Conservative government gave British Airways Concorde for
one
pound they said that if another British company ever wanted to operate it, they

could,” he said. "As a result of the public’s response, I will be asking
British Airways to provide me with full operating figures." BA is believed to
be
planning to make the Concordes available to museums.

NAV CANADA TO RAISE AIRLINE FEES
Nav Canada, the not-for-profit company that runs the navigation system
at Canada's airports, says it will have to raise fees this year to cover
a deficit that is expected to hit $157 million, up from last fall's
prediction of $84 million.

Berlitz’ #1 rated cruise line of 2003!
Interline rates are per person, in US dollars, and INCLUDE port charges unless
otherwise specified. Government fees are additional on all cruises and are
usually between $0 and $50 per person.
Interline rates are unpredictable but are generally at their lowest
approximately 30 days prior to sailing. However, very popular cruises may sell
out earlier than this.
The following people are eligible for interline rates:
- Airline/Courier/Military/Air Traffic/IATA employee or retiree, spouse,
dependent child under age 19, parent, parent-in-law.
- Anyone sharing a cabin with one of the above people. Cabins can be ‘split’
(e.g.: to allow an interline couple to bring friends along at the same rate,
call me for details).
- Extended family & friends can often obtain special rates without an eligible
interliner.
