. Need to know,
Parents or partners travelling on Continental aren't allowed to use T423 tickets.
While eligible active and retired employees, a legal spouse, and dependent children
under 24 years have access to unlimited personal travel on Continental Airlines and its
affiliates Continental Express and Continental Micronesia parent/partner T423 tickets
are not permitted. Parents listed in your CHIP record are eligible for unlimited ZED fares.
However, travel partners are not eligible for a T423 trip pass or ZED fare on Continental.

Dave Beilhartz sends this information -
Just a note so reduced rate travellers do not get a nasty surprise in Japan.
All Nippon Airlines (NH) will not honour a reduced rate that is more than 90 days
old. I believe most airlines will accept up to a year.

Effective Jan 1st 2001, we understand that Dargal now charges for the delivery
of your documents for cruises -
us$5.00 for destinations in Canada, us$10.00 for the USA and
us$20.00 for International

. Ed Hill sends us this information -
Subject: Montreal Airline Club
Hello!  It is with interest when I read about the folks who are claiming to
have started the Montreal Interline Club
I feel for the sake of history to advise all of them that the Montreal
Interline Club was formed by a group of TCA Mtce/Engineering Depts.
this was in the year of 1949 and we had our club on St. Catherine St just
below Guy St.. in was very successful and a lot of fun and hard work,
How do I know all this??? Because I was a 16 year old kid at the time and
one of the founders..
I spent 43 years with TCA/AC retiring as a 747 capt.
Hope you print this for the official record.
Thanks to all..Ed Hill

. May Day!
From Lawson Tremellon -
I was in HQ last week and stopped to talk to George Reeleder, Senior Director,
Scheduling. George asked me if I knew where the public timetables could be
found for the sixties since I had had responsibility for the Timetable for many
years and copies were kept of all issues. The boxes were still there but didn't
go back beyond 1971.
If  any of the readers of the Netletter have any back copies in the sixties
George would like to hear from them at    This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
George is doing some research into schedules at that time and would
appreciate any help he can get.
Thanks very much for anything you can do.
Cheers Lawson Tremellen

Found by Vesta -
Gummed Up
A sweet young thing is taking her first airplane ride. As the plane gains
altitude, she complains to the flight attendant that her ears are popping.

The flight attendant gives her some chewing gum and assures her that many
people experience the same discomfort.

When they land, the sweet young thing thanks the flight attendant.

"The chewing gum worked fine," she says, "but tell me, how do I get it out
of my ears?"
