. Need to know.
Visas are once again required by Canadian citizens to visit the Czech Republic.
Introduced in Jan 31st to reciprocate for a similar requirement by the Canadian
government in 1977.

Bill & Kay Sargent tell us that they left AKL in early January and paid
NZ Dollars 22 Dept Tax. {14..75 Can Dollars}.

Effective Jan 29/01
Employees travelling on personal travel will be charged AIF
fees on personal u-write tickets.
Ticketable fees will be added to regular service charges
and collected via payroll deduction.
Non-ticketable fees will be collect at the airport.

. News from the Air Canada Districts.
Sheila Moscoe sends us this update -
Our T2 Coffee Klatch, for Toronto Airport Sales Retirees, has gotten off
to a great start this year.  We have had record turnouts so far and it's
been great schmoozing!  With the latest AC Voluntary Separation Package
in place, our attendance will be overflowing.
To name a few who recently fully retired and dropped in for coffee/tea

Fraser O'Shaughessy brought us some blank pass forms for Personal Travel
and for Partner/Parent Travel.  So, that will help us get started.
And, Peter Bogart from New York State stopped in for a cuppa.
The winner of the monthly Dinner for Two draw was Sheila Moscoe.
Anyhow, just to remind anyone who happens to be in the Toronto area
on the first Tuesday of any month, please drop in from 1030hr at
Tucker's Marketplace, 15 Carlson Court, just off Dixon Road opposite the

First aircraft operated by Trans-Canada Air Lines on scheduled service
to St. John's Airport, Torbay, NF was on May 1st 1942. Capt's Trerice & Fouler
with Stewardess (F/A) Dorothy Reid and 5 passengers.
The inaugural Air Canada flight to London, England from St.John's was Aug 29th, 1986
On Apr 21st 1961, CPAir DC8 CF-CPH first flight YVR-YEG-AMS
DC8 service by CPAir to ROM was Jun 1st 1961 and HKG on 8th Oct 1961
