Employee Travel Website and Speech Recognition mystery solved.
What's the difference between two John Smiths Senior and Junior on one
employee CHIP? For the Employee Website and Speech Recognition
applications, there isn't one.
These applications can't process employee requests containing duplicate
names on the CHIP record. To modify one of the duplicate names
(e.g. John S. Smith Sr. and John Smith Jr.), active employees should
contact their local People Services representative and retirees must contact
Employee & Industry Travel.
The travel dress code can be a bit tricky.
The Employee & Industry Travel team has received a number of questions regarding the definition of sandals, as listed in the travel dress code. Sandals that are considered unacceptable include flip flops, beach footwear, Teva-type sandals, and Birkenstocks. To ease the way for Airport agents, please make sure you and your travel partners are appropriately attired from head to toe.

BRITISH AIRWAYS and Air France will re-introduce Concorde flights at
the same time, possibly in September, following final tests over the
summer, the Guardian reported on Wednesday.
The newspaper quoted Air France sources as revealing the plans.
AIRPORT ADVERSITY OVERSEAS: While Kansai International Airport slowly
sinks into the "reclaimed" earth of the manmade island that supports it
off Osaka, Japan, historic Helsinki-Malmi Airport in Finland may be in
danger of being dug up and its land reclaimed by developers. Japan's
vertically challenged airport has sunk almost 40 feet since construction
began nearly 15 years ago, and airport losses topped $1.3 billion in
early 2000. The Helsinki-Malmi Airport might also be moving, but the
problem's source is altogether different. The airport's site was
originally surveyed by Charles Lindbergh; now, the field is being
surveyed as a potential site for housing for 15,000 Helsinki residents.

A Boeing B747 pulls up behind a C-5 Galaxy. The B747 calls the C-5 and asks
"What are you guys grossing today?"
In a somewhat cocky tone, the C-5 crew reply
"50 to 100 thousand pounds more than you. What are you guys grossing today?"
After a slight pause, the B747 crew reply
"Oh about 50 to 100 thousand dollars more than you!"
