When using your pass on Continental Airlines, be aware that they do not
give 'stop-over' coupons, therefore your legs are limited to four per
pass. More space for legs can be obtained by issuing another pass which will
incur additional charges.

SWIMMING WITH SHARKS:
Not since "Jaws" has a shark taken such a painful bite. Superstar golfer
Greg Norman, known as "The Shark," was to become Boeing's highest-profile
bizjet customer, complete with a glossy ad campaign.
Instead, AVweb hears that Norman traded his BBJ delivery position to
Gulfstream -- plus some cash -- in exchange for a new G-V.
The BBJ is apparently too big to use all of the airports Norman would
like. Guess we know who Boeing would like to feed to the sharks, eh?

. Derek and Pearl Piers, who joined our readership recently, send this
bio -
Subject: Greetings from Brule Shore NS
I (Pearl) first joined TCA in June 1961 (wasn't that a long time ago) -
worked in Passenger Services and Telecommunications at Halifax Airport -
and retired for 1st time at end of December 1965, to raise my family
(wasn't that a long time ago when we retired to raise a family!).
Rejoined Air Canada in January 1979 - after working 6 months as a
'casual'. This time I spent one year at the In-flight Services Base and
the remaining years in Passenger Sales, as Passenger Sales Coordinator.
So that is my career in a nutshell.
I am a member of Pionairs, NS District. My husband and I enjoy skiing,
skating in winter, and golf, swimming, biking in summer. Also enjoy
travelling - travel most often to Hong Kong to visit daughter and
son-in-law who live there, and to YVR where we meet them half-way.
Always on the look-out for 'a good deal' on hiking or biking holidays.
Best wishes for 1999....................PearlDerek & Pearl Piers

. Terry's travel tips.
If you are travelling to the UK, and if you plan to visit the duty free on
leaving the UK to 'stock up' on booze and cigarettes -
then check the prices in the Air Canada duty free Boutique first -
I priced Irish Cream in the LHR duty free at GBP14.99 (sale prce!) x 2.62 =
C$36.54 and a carton of cigarettes in LHR was GPB21.00 x 2.62 = C$55.00
total C$91.54 On the AC Boutique the cigarettes were C$19.99 and the Irish
Cream was C$21.00. Total C$42.00
(Hopefully when my Enroute charge comes through the exchange rate will be
lower - thus another saving! - eds)
