Our National Director ans National Secretary  Olie & Mary Moore
have recently been visiting various District Pionair gatherings.
The Pionairs coffee get together in Burlington. We have been to
Edmonton for a BBQ which was great.  Sunny Alberta skies and
delicious food not to mention the great company!
We will be going to the lunch in Richmond BC Sep 28th.
Planning to be guest speaker at the Vancouver Island District
Fall Luncheon on October 23rd.
So things are starting to move along.

LUFTHANSA TICKETS ON THE BLOCK
German carrier Lufthansa is planning to auction off 80 round-trip
tickets on the Internet at the end of August. The auction, the
first ever of its kind on the web, will be conducted by the
airline's British office. 40 pairs of tickets to destinations in
Asia, the Mediterranean, Eastern Europe and Germany will be offered
at prices starting at GBP 5 (USD 8). The auction will take place
live on the airline's British web site between Thursday August 28
and Sunday August 31, but all participants must register in advance
on the Internet : http://www.lufthansa.co.uk

The Vulcan Restoration Trust, based in Southend-On-Sea, Essex, UK
will be holding a public Open Day on Saturday 27th September 1997
and will be presenting a High Speed Taxy-Run of their Avro Vulcan
as part of its contribution to the first National Aviation
Heritage Week.

Aer Lingus have announced the order for four A321 aircraft.
Two will be leased and will enter service on the DUB-LHR route
next summer with the other two being purchased in 1999.
They will be configured to carry 168 pax to cater for business
class. It is reported that the first 2 will replace two 737's but
the second two will be additions to the fleet.

Itlair, a new italian private airline, will start its operations
at the end of August,with flights from Cuneo to Roma Fiumicino,
from Alghero to Genova and Pisa and from Pisa to Naples, all the
flights will be operated by a fleet of two ATR 42-300.

AIR CANADA REGIONAL, AIR NOVA, TO OFFER 4 DAILY NON-STOPS OTTAWA -
BOSTON
Air Nova Inc., Air Canada's Halifax-based regional partner,  
announced the addition of a new route for its upcoming
Fall/Winter schedule. Beginning October 27, 1997, the airline
will offer four daily non-stop flights each way between Ottawa
and Boston using the Canadian-made 37-seat Dash 8-100 aircraft.
