The new CHIP program which is a data base of personal information held at the Winnipeg Travel Centre to make listing for contingent travel easier will not be in place until early October. If you have not sent in your information to the Travel Industry at Dorval, you will be required to contact them prior to listing yourself in order for your details to be recorded for future use. It would be an idea to call the Winnipeg Travel Centre in early October to ensure your details are recorded, and save some aggravation when you really want to list yourself. Not too many airlines have 'em yet, and although United *does*, I don't know if they'd put one on a U.S.-YYZ route. - Of airlines serving YYZ, only three appear to have 340s in their fleets: Lufthansa, Air Canada, and Cathay Pacific. Lufthansa *did* fly 340s into YYZ a few times, but I'm not sure if they still do. According to the OAG, Air Canada is flying 340s on the YVR-YYZ run. Looks like arrivals are at 2142 on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and at 1920 on Friday. Departures are at 1045 Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and at 0845 on Friday. (Hmmm. That doesn't make much sense -- I may have the day-of-week numbers screwed up. I'll check and confirm in another message.) Cathay Pacific is flying a 340 in with arrivals scheduled for 2110 and departures at 2325, on Fridays (I think). As you can see, you'd have a tough time getting pictures of the Cathay bird (lousy light by that time of night), and only the Air Canada departures look like they're at good-light times of day. As I said, I'll have to check the days of the week that the 340 is operating -- it may not be every day. No info on the Concorde appearing at the CNE airshow -- given the sparseness of the flights to YYZ (only about four trips over the summer), I don't know if the schedule would allow it or not.
