Holly Ross sends us the following information - Finally I've got the info on the System Bonspiel for you. The results were as follows: A Event - The Fred Pinkerton Trophy final was hard fought between Ken Hanson of Saskatoon (YXE) and Jamie Hay from Winnipeg (YWG) and won by Ken for the ninth time as a skip. B Event final - The Earl Sherman Trophy was between Bob Harris of Toronto (YYZ) and Wayne Ritchie of Calgary (YYC) and won by Bob. C Event final - The Pionairs Trophy was between Gil Schmaltz of Calgary (YYC) and Wayne Attfield of Ottawa (YOW) and won by Gil. It was a good 'spiel. I think next year is in Ottawa (YOW). -=o0o=- . After about a week in B.C., we will be flying back to Oshkosh for the big show, Aug. 1-7, then home. Charles Mackie shares the following information - Capt Bill Loftus of Winnipeg , a retired Air Canada Capt, who during part of his career flew the Milk Run from Calgary, Lethbridge and all points in between to Winnipeg during the DC3 days. Bill recently had a fall and injured a hip and was hospitalized for for a spell but he says his hip is slowly getting better, and may be able to put full weight on it by next week and probably will have to use a walker for a while.
